Rymi vs Vapi
Both Rymi and Vapi let a developer put an AI agent on a phone call through an API. They differ in how the bill is built, where the phone numbers live, and which languages get a native voice. This page compares them on what each vendor publishes. Vapi figures come from vapi.ai/pricing, read on 26 October 2026. Check it again before you decide, since vendors change prices.

Pricing model
Vapi's page splits a call into a hosting fee and separate provider lines. Its own 1,000-minute estimate adds up to $82 to $129 a month, of which hosting is $50. You see the pieces and choose each one.
Rymi has two shapes. A Managed agent runs a tuned stack, and one per-minute rate, from $0.05, covers speech, model and voice. A Custom agent lets you pick every provider or bring your own OpenAI or Anthropic keys, and you pay them at cost plus $0.02/min.
The comparison that matters is your own stack, priced end to end. Build the same agent on both and read the first invoice.
Phone numbers and carriers
Rymi is bring-your-own-carrier. You keep your numbers and your carrier rates, and leaving Rymi never means porting numbers. Vapi lists carrier rates next to its own, so check which telephony path your numbers use there.
Languages
Rymi's managed English agents are available everywhere. Managed Hindi agents, with native Hindi voices on the Hindi flagship agents, are available to businesses operating in India. Other Indian languages run on a custom stack, and accent quality there is the provider's. Vapi's page does not state language coverage, so test the language you need with the exact voice you would deploy. More on Hindi and Indic agents.
Where Vapi fits better
- It publishes concurrency tiers (4, 10 and 30 concurrent calls by package) and a HIPAA add-on at $2,000 per month. Rymi has no default concurrency cap and sets a per-tenant limit on request. It does not publish a HIPAA add-on, so ask sales if you need one.
- If you want to assemble every provider yourself and read a line-by-line estimate, Vapi's page is built for that.
Where Rymi fits better
- You want one per-minute number that already includes speech, model and voice.
- You need a native-accent Hindi or Hinglish agent for businesses operating in India.
- You want AI clients such as Claude or Cursor to build and run agents through the hosted MCP server.
- You want a free tier that renews every month.

Common questions
Is Rymi cheaper than Vapi?
It depends on your stack. Vapi lists a $0.05 per minute hosting fee with speech, model and voice billed on top by the providers. Rymi Managed agents start at $0.05 per minute with speech, model and voice included. Price the same agent end to end on both before you decide.
Does Rymi sell phone numbers like Vapi?
No. Rymi is bring-your-own-carrier: connect Plivo, Twilio, Vonage or Telnyx and keep your own numbers and carrier rates.
Can I bring my own OpenAI or Anthropic keys to Rymi?
Yes. Custom agents run on your own provider keys. Your providers bill their usage, and Rymi adds a $0.02 per minute runtime fee.
